Net travel
Where price is now versus where it was at the start of the window. The number you actually lived through.
Kept
Of all the ground price covered day by day, how much it held on to. 100% means every day went the same way. Near zero means it walked a long way and came back.
Why “kept” is the one that matters
A quiet market that grinds one way for a month scores high here and looks like nothing on a daily chart. A violent market that swings and returns scores low while feeling like constant action. Daily range cannot tell those apart — and confusing them is exactly how an 1800-point trend got read as a market that was not moving.
This is price, not positioning. hello's direction comes from where smart money is positioned; a moving average is not that, and this page never claims to be. It is here so that when the positioning feed is down you still know what you are looking at instead of looking at nothing.
The trend and drift boundaries are stated in the open in trend_regime.py and have not yet been validated against Nifty history. They are labelled untested until Validation can grade them.
